People and roles
Last updated 2026-10-21
Give your team access to just what they need. Owners and admins manage people under People.
Roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including people. Always has every module and every site. |
| Admin | Manages people, sites, screens and content. Always has every module and every site. |
| Editor | Edits content (media, playlists and schedules) in the modules and sites they have been given. |
| Operator | Can use Control (next, previous, blank, play now, messages) but cannot edit anything. |
Pairing TVs, editing screens, sites, locations and module schedules, and the People and Settings pages are for owners and admins. A few things need all-sites editor access, such as Signage slots, because they apply to the whole church.
Module access and sites
For editors and operators you also choose:
- Modules: any of Kids, Signage and Slides. They only see the sections they have, and the choices follow the modules your church has. A new person starts with all of them ticked.
- Sites: all sites, or specific ones. Someone limited to one campus sees and edits only that campus's content.
Invite someone
- Open People. Under Invite someone, enter their email address.
- Choose a role, and for editors and operators the modules and sites.
- Press Give access.
No email is sent. Tell them yourself: ask them to open app.churchtvos.com and sign in, or create an account, using exactly the same email address. They will then see your church straight away.
How the invite links up
Until they sign up, the person is listed as "Invited, not signed up yet". Once they sign in with that email address, the entry becomes Active and your church appears for them. If they use a different email, they will land on "Create your church" instead. In that case they should sign out and sign in with the invited address.
New accounts need to confirm their email first: they receive a confirmation link, click it, then sign in.
Change or remove access
Press Edit beside someone to change their role, modules or sites, then Save. Remove takes away their access to your church (you cannot remove yourself). Removing someone does not delete the content they created.
For a volunteer who only manages the kids rooms at one campus: role Editor, module Kids, site that campus.
