Church TV OS ("we", "us") provides a service that lets churches and other organizations run digital signage and kids-room displays on TVs. The service has two parts: a web dashboard at app.churchtvos.com and a TV app. This policy explains what information we handle and why. The service is operated by Keith Sparrow in Ontario, Canada.

Who this is for

The dashboard is used by church staff and volunteers. The TV app shows content on a screen and has no accounts or sign-in. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Children may see content on a display, but they do not use the service.

Information we collect

Dashboard users. Your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash), your name if you provide it, your role and the organization you belong to.

Organization content. What your organization uploads or enters: media files (images and video), playlists, schedules, lyrics, logos, colours and location names. Your organization owns this content.

TV devices. When a TV app pairs, we store a random device identifier, the device model, the app version and the time it last connected. We do not collect names, contacts, advertising identifiers, precise location or content from the TV.

Technical logs. Our hosting and database providers keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

We do not sell personal information. We do not show ads or use analytics or advertising trackers in the TV app.

AI assistant connections

You can choose to connect an AI assistant, such as Claude, to your account through our connector (see AI assistant connector). You approve each connection on our sign-in page, and you can remove it at any time in your assistant's settings.

Service providers

We use Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage; our project is hosted in Canada) and Netlify (website hosting). They process data only to provide their services to us. If a playlist includes a YouTube video or live stream, the TV loads it from YouTube, and Google's privacy policy applies to that playback.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while your organization uses the service. An organization owner can remove content, people and TVs in the dashboard. To delete your account or your organization's data, email us at the address below and we will do so within 30 days, except where we must keep information by law.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to each organization's data is restricted to its members by database rules. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. If you are in Canada, these rights come from PIPEDA and applicable provincial law. Contact us below.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell dashboard users.
