AI assistant connector
Last updated 2026-10-28
Connect Claude (or another assistant that supports MCP connectors) to your church's Church TV OS account, then ask in plain words: "Show the youth night graphic in the lobby Friday 8 to 10pm", "Make a deck with this song", "What's on the Kids Room TV on Sunday?"
What you need
- A Church TV OS account in a church, with the Signage, Kids or Slides module.
- Claude (web, desktop or mobile) or another assistant that can add a custom MCP connector.
The assistant can only do what you can do in the dashboard. It signs in as you, and your role and campus limits apply to everything it does.
Connect it
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector (or find Church TV OS in the directory, if it is listed).
- Name it Church TV OS and paste this server URL:
https://gqkefjngblgomuovaivj.supabase.co/functions/v1/mcp - Choose Connect. You are sent to app.churchtvos.com: sign in and press Approve.
- Start a new chat and ask "List my screens" to check it works.
To disconnect, remove the connector in your assistant's settings. You can also sign out of all sessions in the dashboard.
What it can do
- Signage: schedule one or more graphics on screens for a time, a date range or every week; hold one image for the whole slot; list and cancel what's scheduled.
- Kids: build playlists (videos, images, countdowns, lyrics, YouTube, streams) and schedule them in rooms, once or every week; skip or swap a single week.
- Slides: build decks (text, media, songs, countdowns), and schedule or play them.
- Songs: paste a song's lyrics and it is added to the song library, split into verses and choruses, ready for a deck.
- Live control: play something now, stop it, or show a short message on a screen.
- Organising: put playlists and decks in folders, and archive ones you no longer use.
- Files: bring in images and videos from a link (Canva, Google Drive, Dropbox or a web address), or get an upload link to use on your phone or computer.
Safety
- Preview first. Anything that changes what a screen shows, or removes something, is shown to you as a preview. Nothing happens until you say yes.
- Undo. Every change the assistant makes is logged. Ask "what did you change?" and "undo that".
- Service times. It warns before changing a room within 30 minutes of something it is about to replace.
- Your own work is protected. It won't remove schedules you made in the dashboard unless you clearly ask.
- What it makes goes into a Made by assistant folder, so you can see it at a glance. Old one-off signage it made is tidied away a week after it finishes, unless you move it to another folder.
Example requests
- "Put this graphic on the Gym TV every day from 6am to 10pm and keep it up the whole time." (with a Canva or Drive link)
- "Show these two images every 10 seconds on the lobby screens, weekdays 9 to 6."
- "Here are the lyrics for our new song. Add it, 2 lines per slide, and make a deck for Sunday with a welcome slide and a 5 minute countdown first."
- "Schedule the Week 3 Kids playlist in the Kids Room every Sunday at 9 and 11 until Christmas."
- "Archive the fall series decks."
Pictures attached in the chat can't be sent to Church TV OS. Share a link instead, or use the upload link the assistant gives you. Portrait screens need tall (1080 by 1920) artwork.
Privacy
The assistant reads and changes your church's Church TV OS content only when you ask it to, using your sign-in. We keep a log of the changes it makes (so they can be undone) and the files it uploads. We don't receive your chats; your assistant provider's privacy policy covers those. See our Privacy Policy.
